If you are a transfer student, I can explain to you options for transfer universities, with which I collaborate with. 2. I will suggest universities and explain the process for application, submission documents, admission process, application fees or tuition fees structure. 3. If a university has an entrance exam, I can offer preparatory courses for medical university in Kosice and Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin. For other universities, I may appoint individual tutor from biology and chemistry. 4. If the conditions for admission are met (e.g. by entrance exam), we will work on recognition of academic documents and enrollment documents. 5. You will pay enrollment fee and tuition fees and can start your studies.

If you wish to study medicine at one of the medical universities that Medhead represents, here are the application fees: Medical University in Kosice – 30€, Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin – 70€, Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava – 95€, Medical University of Silesia – 80PLN, Riga Stradins University – 100€, Faculty of Medicine in Ostrava – 2000CZK (approximately 80€), University of East Sarajevo – 400KM (approximately 200€).
If you wish to transfer from one medical, veterinary, or pharmaceutical university to another, you usually need a transcript of records and syllabuses with a stamp from the study office. In most cases, you will need to write an entrance exam in biology and chemistry. Once you pass it, you will be enrolled in the 1st year and can apply for recognition of completed subjects. The majority of medical schools offer transfers to a maximum of 3 years, in most cases only EU-based universities are recognized. No, it is not possible to guarantee a transfer year or recognized subjects. On the other hand, if the agency has experience from the past (students usually transfer to the same universities), it is possible to give an estimation of the transfer year. The basic requirement would be that syllabuses or course structure have not changed meanwhile.
Students who would like to study medicine in the European Union should have a budget of at least 11.000€ per year (installments are usually allowed). Dentistry studies in the European Union usually starts at 12.500€, veterinary medicine from 8500€. Living costs represent another mandatory spending and starts from 500€ per month.
Students study in the English language. If you speak the local language (e.g. Slovak language in Slovakia) you can apply also for studies in the local language that are free in most cases. There are also few universities in Europe, that offer medical studies in the German language (e.g. in Croatia or Hungary).
The most frequent admission rule is to pass an entrance exam in biology and chemistry. Only students who are graduates of high school are eligible for university admission. Marks from high school (secondary school) are not taken into consideration in the majority of cases. The entrance exam has the form of a written test, some universities (e.g. in the Czech Republic or Poland) also do oral interviews after the written test.
A language certificate is usually not required for applicants to medical schools. In case of universities that Medhead represents, only the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland) and Riga Stradins University (Latvia) requires language certificates.

Applicants usually need help with registration documents, the enrollment process, preparation for the entrance test, recognition of completed subjects, and relocation assistance. Almost all universities offer September (Winter) intake for their medical and dentistry programs. Medhead represents medical universities, that have February (Spring) intake – Riga Stradins University (Latvia) and Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland).
If you study at medical universities inside European Union, your medical degree is automatically recognized in the whole European Union. If you wish to work outside of the EU, it would be better to check list of recognised schools before your studies.
Generally speaking, the majority of medical schools in Europe have admission based on written or oral entrance exam. Several universities might award you admission based on high school marks (typically RSU) or other certificates (SAT, BMAT, …)
All medical universities which we represent, have their education both in local languate (e.g. Czech language) as well as in English language. There are tuition fees associated with studies in English language.
Various medical universities have different deadlines for admission. The soonest (e.g. Charles University in Prague) are open until April 30th, the latest (e.g. Medical university in Kosice or Medical University in Split) can admit students also in September. If you study in the European Union, your medical, dentistry or pharmacy degree is recognized automatically, without the need to do additional test in your home country. If you wish to work in the USA or Canada, you will need to undergo the special procedure for degree recognition.
If your academic documents are not issued in the English language, you will be asked to do a sworn translation of certificates. Sworn translators are a special type of translators, who have special authority awarded by the government. Cost of sworn translation might vary from 15-25€ per page.

Medical universities in Europe organize entrance exams from March until May or June. In exceptional cases (eg. in Slovakia or Poland), students can still write entrance exams in July, August or even September.
Entrance exams have a form of multiple choice test from Biology and Chemistry (sometimes also Physics). Exams are in a multiple-choice format where answers are marked in the answer sheet. After scanning, each student gets a result. Universities state minimum marks for passing and ask students to pay a deposit or the first half of tuition fees. If the payments are not done, the study place is offered to a different candidate.

Students also get the online app, where they can test their knowledge immediately. The course was developed in collaboration with the agency Namedicinu.sk. The Faculty offers free preparatory courses for applicants. The only requirement is the submission of a complete application in the university system and payment of the application fee of 95€.
The Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava offers preparatory courses for all applicants. The preparatory courses take place during 4 consecutive Saturdays and cost 200€.
